CNC Design retrofitting a large roll grinder
Retrofitting the Pomini roll grinder at the New Zealand Steel factory presented several challenges. Ensuring compatibility between new CNC control and the existing machinery is crucial. Precision and accuracy must be maintained or improved to meet quality standards. Minimizing downtime during the retrofit process is essential to avoid disruptions to production schedules. Integration of new control systems and automation technologies with existing infrastructure is also a key consideration.
